Attractive condominium communities blend tastefully with the landscape. Along the shore of the many lakes in town are elegant waterfront properties. Adding to Ridgefield's character is the historic downtown village filled with unique shops and stately mansions. At the Keeler Tavern Museum a British cannonball embedded in the exterior wall is a souvenir from a 1777 battle.

The Arts council supports the arts for every age group. The town is home to the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, a leading venue for the world's best contemporary artists.
