What is HOMEefficient?
HOMEefficient is a division of Prudential Connecticut Realty that works with you, a customer or client of a Prudential Connecticut Realty Sales Executive, to assist you during your move.
HOMEefficient coordinates any or all of the following services:
- Utility Connections and/or Disconnections
- Moving Services
- Re-Keying Services
- Security System Monitoring or Installation
- And much more
What is the process?
You may call the HOMEefficient toll-free number 1-866-811-5214 for directions or complete the online form on this Web site.
Once our Coordinator receives your completed form, the following process takes place:
- We will call you to confirm information
- HOMEefficient informs your Sales Executive that you are working with HOMEefficient
- Your Coordinator identifies all companies associated with your requests and orders or coordinates services. In the event a service provider does not permit 3rd party scheduling we will provide resource information necessary to initiate services.
- A Status Update is e-mailed, faxed or mailed to you to inform you of the companies involved and status of each service. You will receive two to four updates prior to closing to keep you informed.

Your signature authorizes HOMEefficient to complete the services you request on your behalf.
How many services do I need to sign up for?
You may utilize HOMEefficient for one service or all.
Why are eight business days/10 days necessary to provide service?
Many factors are involved in service requests. Some utility companies require advance notification to complete service orders. Some involve appointment scheduling. This period of time is necessary to ensure services meet your expectations.
What if I require a service that is not listed?

Can you change utilities out of state?
- HOMEefficient provides utility connection and disconnection services in Connecticut and Rhode Island.
- We can provide change of address and moving services on a national basis.
