Let me introduce myself -
My name is Jan Beaucar and I've been an real estate agent with Prudential Connecticut Realty since 2002. Before deciding to enter the real estate field, I was part of the corporate world in the Information Technology field. I'm tech-savvy and I can text or email with the best of them!
My goals in real estate are simple - to provide the best possible information and service to my clients. One of the first additional courses I completed after getting my license was to obtain an accredited buyer representative (ABR) designation. I have found the information gathered here has helped me through each and every real estate experience. I am proud to be an ABR and to offer this service to others.
Speaking of tech-savvy - the internet makes it easier than ever to begin shopping for a home online. By searching property listing sites, such as Prudential Connecticut Realty, Realtor.com or Trulia.com, you can begin to get a better idea about property prices in different neighborhoods and which home features are most and least important to you. This sort of preliminary research can be helpful when you're ready to work with a buyer's representative and begin searching for a home in earnest. But - all this information can be overwhelming! That's where having someone (me) familiar with the local market comes in handy - to help interpret the trends.
Why work with a buyer's representative? A buyer's representative works for YOU, not the seller. In Connecticut, this relationship is formalized with a contract between the agent and the buyer which allows the agent (me) to open the entire MLS to the buyer (you). Technically, without this contract, I DO work for the seller and can only show you homes listed for sale with my broker, Prudential Connecticut Realty.
Why limit yourself? Your search results will show you everything available in your price range - not just my broker but all brokers. You don't need a different agent to see each house. What a waste of time especially since you saved time by using the internet to search in the first place. You need just one full service agent - me!
