When you want to find a Realtor and you don't know one personally, what do you do?

Hit the web, ask friends, maybe talk to a couple of them in person. It can be a crap shoot.

Most Realtors are good people, trying to make a buck and do the right thing by their clients. Boil it down and it's really little more than a personality contest. Who do you like the most. Is that the best measuring stick to use when handling one the most important aspects of your life? Probably not.

You want experienced, professional people who will tell you the truth (even if it hurts) and not blow smoke.

I have been in the construction industry for 26 years. Nobody knows the product better than I do. I can guide your buying decision by helping you identify the pluses and minuses. Tell you what's serious and what's superficial. I can give you expert opinions on what things cost to repair and what can wait. Want to renovate? I'm your guy. Want to improve the look of your home before you sell? Let me help you identify ways to save your money so you don't pay for expensive renovations for the buyer when you don't have to.

Seriously, rapport counts but expertise is what gets the deal done.
