I recently visited North Africa where we spent time in the community learning the language and culture of the Berbers. My husband helped the local men put a roof on a building for the community high school. I spent time with the ladies sewing patchwork quilted pillows. The time we spent there was more fulfilling to me than I could have even imagined.
My husband and I will be leading the team to Caraballo, Dominican Republic July 2013 for construction work on their school building and teaching the young ladies who have graduated the school how to sew so they will have a skill to support themselves. We are also going to Santo Domingo to start a new project with Kids Alive in 2013.
