Gives Sunshine Kids A
Warm Send-Off As They Embark On
A Hawaiian Adventure

April 2006 - Prudential Connecticut Realty held a special send-off reception for four Connecticut children as them embarked on a fun-filled week in Hawaii, as part of a national Sunshine Kids event.

Prudential Connecticut Realty is a sponsor of the Sunshine Kids, a non-profit organization that provides a variety of programs and events for children who are receiving cancer treatments. As part of an ongoing alliance, Prudential Connecticut Realty's 63 offices host various fundraisers throughout the year. In 2005, Prudential Connecticut Realty donated over $185,000 and was the 3rd largest contributor to the organization.

On Saturday, April 15, just one hour before the children and their Connecticut nurse chaperone, Heather Rea, R.N., boarded the airplane to Hawaii, Prudential Connecticut Realty representatives Kathy Van, Leader of the Prudential Connecticut Realty Farmington office,e and Ken Carlson, Sales Executive in Enfield, greeted the kids at Bradley Airport with a special reception complete with goodie bags, balloons and banners.

"It is very fulfilling seeing how our funds help to brighten the lives of the Sunshine Kids," said Candace Adams, Prudential Connecticut Realty, President. "Seeing the joy that these kids experience being able to vacation and share their experiences with other youths who are undergoing similar treatments is very heartwarming. "
