Prudential Connecticut Realty Joins Forces
With Pequot Properties
Partnership will create CT's largest real estate company
and establish presence in RI
Prudential Connecticut Realty announces that it has merged
with Pequot Properties of Waterford, Connecticut, a full-service
real estate company serving eastern Connecticut and western
Rhode Island. With the completion of this merger, Prudential
Connecticut Realty becomes the largest real estate firm in
Connecticut and establishes the company's presence in Rhode
Island.
"I am certain that by joining with Prudential Connecticut
Realty, together we can build on the success we have enjoyed
for so many years and provide an even greater level of service
for our customers," said Peter Guille, who founded Pequot
Properties in 1974. "Our team will have access to greater
resources, a national referral system, and a statewide network
to allow us to serve more buyers and sellers."
"The partnership between Prudential Connecticut Realty
and Pequot Properties is a perfect fit. Our companies share
the same values and commitment to customer service and our
combined strengths have created the biggest and best real
estate firm in Connecticut," said Peter Helie, chairman
and CEO of Prudential Connecticut Realty. "With this
merger, we expand our presence along the Connecticut shoreline
into western Rhode Island as well as into eastern Connecticut,
two areas where Peter Guille and his team have been so successful
over the past three decades."
Pequot Properties, based in Waterford, Connecticut, has
160 agents and offices in Danielson, Mystic, Norwich, Stonington
Borough, and Watch Hill, Rhode Island and had more than $390,000,000
in sales volume in 2004 working with residential, investment,
commercial, and industrial properties. The new name of the
Watch Hill office is Prudential Pequot Properties.
